Hello and greetings newly accepted freshmen!

You may have noticed the sub has been overflowing with dorm questions the last few days, so here's a megathread to get it all in one place (shoutout to /u/cleverduck for writing this years ago).

Incoming//prospective students:

• Here is the time line detailing rooming assignment decisions. Please read that before posting about when you'll get your assignments..... There are also "Contact Us" and live help chats on the housing services page.

• Here is a badass page with a billion details about the dorms. Click here!.

• Here is a link highlighting each dorm and (if applicable) their respective RAP .

• Please note that dorms without RAPs accept any major.

• The housing staff highly recommends you choose dorms based on RAPs. RAPs and "major exclusive" can change from year to year. When you read the dorm reviews posted below, double check the current listing of RAPs as the program may have changed location.

• Please note the dorms are divided into "neighborhoods." Most buildings in the same neighborhood are the same. Example: Farrand and Baker are basically the same. Aden//Brackette//Cockrell are very similar. etc.
