1 : Numbers are meaningless, we're all going to die anyway

  • Want to show that special someone you really care? The Museum of Natural History is hosting a DIY Valentine Making event where you can make a free Valentine to send to your loved one. They'll take it and then postmark it from Loveland, for that extra special bonus. They'll be doing this every day until Feb 12th! (Yes, this event is still going on from last week!)
  • Have an unhealthy obsession with gambling that you're too scared to talk about with your friends and family? /r/cuboulder has got you covered! There's a Free Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament event happening at the UMC on Tuesday, February 5, 7:30pm! Sign up at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. (I'm not endorsing gambling I'm just promoting an event ok please dont come after me if you go broke)
  • On the more charitable side of the week, there's a blood drive happening February 5 - February 7 over at the Rec Center. The timing varies every day of the week so be sure to check out this link for the exact timings!
  • Is there an honors / masters / doctoral dissertation that you're supposed to be writing right now? Are you behind in your job searches? Look no further! Join the workshop specifically focused on Setting Priorities and Time Management in Writing Your Dissertation and Searching for a Job on Wednesday, February 6, from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the UMC (Room 247).
  • The CU Art Museum is hosting an exhibition on Documenting Change: Our Climate (Past, Present, Future) which is accessible to both scientists and artists! Check it out on Thursday, November 7th.
  • Still unsure if engineering is really your thing? Join Engineers in the Library to meet some Engineers in the math library (who would've guessed!!) from diverse backgrounds and ask them about their day to day / some challenges they face. Figure out if engineering is for you! This event will be taking place on Friday, February 8th.
