I asked for help a few days ago after setting up my studio. My PC would constantly interrupt audio or midi playback with huge spikes in cpu monitor. I have tried dozens of fixes like disabling e-cores, adjusting power management, allocating dedicated cores, disabling processes. I clean installed and began anew, I'm still downloading 1TB of Kontakt. I google fu'd like a ninja and I can proudly report that I have fixed the problem.
Hopefully this will help others in the same boat.
In Nvidia Control Panel. Click desktop at the top. Tick Enable developer settings. In the left pane. Go to Manage 3D settings. In the main view under Global settings Put Low Latency Mode to Ultra Set Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance.
That's it.
My audio peaks are gone. Smooth as ice.
This has worked beautifully for me. Hopefully it works for you if you are looking at this in the future.
