Working on thesis with a company vs alone

Post Body

I will soon be writing my master's thesis in Germany. I can either write it independently or I can write it with the company that I'm currently working with as a werkstudent (part-time).

I am 60% sure I would like to work full-time with my current employer, after graduation. Although, I'm aroud 90% sure that they will want to hire me as a full-time employee after graduation.

On the other hand, I like the idea of being independent, and not depending on the needs and wants of a corporation to finish my academic studies. In this case, I will only have to satisfy my professor.

People keep telling me that writing the thesis in collaboration with a company is the best option for job security.

My bachelors was in CS. My masters (the one I will be writing the thesis for), is in business. My thesis topic will be in the intersection of business and technology, and in the industry in which I want to work in. (eventually as a technical product manager, currently I'm a software dev)

What are your thoughts?
