I'm a .Net developer based in the Midlands, UK with about 7 years experience and earn around £55k. I'd class myself as on the edge of 'senior' title as I've helped out with the management/people side of things e.g. mentoring/running sprint ceremonies/interviewing but I think I'm not as knowledgeable when it comes to technical details (maybe it's impostor syndrome?).
I'm considering a new role and I've seen a few high paying roles however they're mostly either based in London/too far not fully remote and/or FAANG/very tech focus.
I was wondering is £55k around the salary I should expect to be paid? Would it be unlikely for me to get paid more unless I compromise with my commute/upskill my knowledge?
Do you have any other tips to improve my chances of receiving job offers?
I find communicating with recruiters very time consuming. I just want them to send me detailed job spectifications with the name of the hiring firm so I can do some research and rule them out/pursue it.
