Should I tell my manager I’m not enjoying work and how?

Post Body

It’s a couple of months into my role; I’ve passed the probation period however I’m not enjoying the role. The company is much bigger than I thought it would be and I’ve realised that I’d prefer working in a smaller firm. The team is responsible for loads of services and components, and I’m struggling to understand them all. There’s a bunch of documentation on our intranet but its overload and not easily digestible. It feels as though the size of the team is much smaller than the number of components they're responsible for. Plus I don’t like how the team works. We don’t estimate work or breakdown tasks collectively. The requirements and acceptance criteria aren’t written down. As a result, I'm constantly stressing about stuff and wondering if things have been overlooked or if I've done something incorrectly.

Also, I don’t feel like I fit in with my team. It mainly consists of contractors from the same external company and includes an off-shore team. I’m happy to give it a few months however I can’t see things improving with regards to my reasons.

I have a 1-1 with my manager once a month and I was wondering whether to raise this with them and if so, how? I’m slightly privileged in that I could afford to go without a job, if they were to dismiss me however I usually line up a job before leaving jobs.

I’m not sure how to deal with this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated please.
