I tried to search for similar questions, but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

My plan for the future is to have a fully remote job that doesn’t care where I live, but I will live in Europe nonetheless. For example, I plan to move to Italy in the future, but say it’s a small place, not many options for developers. Salaries in Italy are also not the best, I’m told. So a job that pays me well and doesn’t care where I am would be perfect, seeing that it would probably not be based in Italy.

How realistic is to find a position that permits me to live this future plans? Would I have to go to the freelancer path? In this future I would have 8-10 years of FE experience.
