Hi guys, I have started one year ago at a pretty large company doing some really cool stuff. I am a firmware engineer so I mostly work in C for features, performance work and bugs (some bugs are justโฆ). I also do quite a bit of Python and Bash for scripting. Now I enjoy my work but I feel that I would be more suited for higher-level stuff, more general software engineering where work si somewhat a little more diverse. Say I have really good knowledge of python, data structures and algorithms and also LeetCode problems. I feel like I can work on amything with a little bit of ramp up time.
My question is the following: What are the chances that applying for more general SW engineering roles would lead to an interview even though you could say that by looking over my resume I would only be knowledgeable in embedded/low-level programming?
