Best way to get an internship?
Post Body

Hey Guys,

I am a current sophomore who is majoring in electrical engineering and computer science. I am really struggling to get an internship this semester and I was hoping to get some advice. So I am interested in data science roles and I am struggling to get any interview offers. I have had a ton of DS experience (both in industry and in extracurriculars at uni) and yet I have not heard back from any companies (I have applied to around roughly 50 firms both FAANG and startups). I understand that as an international student my chances of getting an internship may not be high but I have had a few international students who have been offered internships from FAANG firms and I was wondering if anyone had advice? I really don't understand why I am not getting any roles and I would appreciate any advice on how I can better my chances. I understand that people recommend to try and contact recruiters or alumni to get references but I have no idea how to go about and do so
