Hi Everyone,
Im starting my new (first real) job tomorrow as a āJunior Software Engineerā in a startup with an Android focus but lots of security as well (fintech). Iāve never worked in an office environment before but Iām a grad and do know how to effectively communicate in person and via email/phone etc. Apparently they have a āstandup meetingā every morning and needles to say Iām bricking it a bit! Itās exciting but all the usual stuff is concerning me like adjusting to a new city, not fitting in (in such a small team of 12-15 people) and not being technically competent enough. Iāve read advice that I should be product focussed and not aim to take lots of time writing the most beautiful chunk of code and all that.
Any advice from anyone would be nice, even just so I have something to read to calm my nerves with my morning coffee before I head to the office!
