So summer is ending and the topic of coming back next year came up at a company BBQ. Basically, the senior guy who trains me and took me under mentioned me coming back next year and how I should ask the boss to buy me a computer next summer (cause I offered to use my laptop. Little did I know the computer he was talking about had 64 gb of ram and 2TB SSD... I was being too nice). After he mentioned next summer he then said "you can ask to keep it during the year at school and just keep bringing it back until you work fulltime when you graduate".
Basically, as far as my superior is concerned I am coming back (and we have had a great summer, so I would imagine they wouldn't mind me back).
My question is from a hiring managers point of view, what looks better, multiple internships at the same place (IE. The candidate is desirable enough that they want him back) or multiple internships at different places (IE. Diverse experience, no clue whether he was offered a returning internship or not).
Do people prefer one over the other? Or are they seen as equal?
