I have no degree, no certifications, and I've never worked in a technical role.
However, I'm self taught and have been programming for 10 years as self employed/ contact side gig for clients around the world. It's a niche little market building custom systems and mods for a game using C# (no game engine).
So I have experience but no one values it, at least the recruiters don't. But I know how to work with clients, manage expectations, and have nearly 2 decades of experience in roles where I'm talking to customers, training ppl, and building reports.
So it's a weird place where I'm too experienced to be a Jr but not experienced enough to be a Sr. And no one will give me a chance to build up.
