Recruiters have been reaching out to me (although not as numerous as in the past), which I optimistically take as a sign that things are slightly getting better. I recently started to respond to these recruiters for the hell of it cause why not? To my surprise, the salary ranges attached to these roles (that are equivalent or a slightly higher level than my current role) seem to be significantly less than what I’ve seen in the past, even less than the current salary I’m making now. This made me do a cursory look at job postings and saw the same thing: the salaries for job postings are significantly a lot less than previous years. Are other people, notably job seekers, experiencing the same thing??
