How to approach mentorship with executives?

Post Body

I have the opportunity to receive advising/mentorship from individuals who have had prominent positions in big organizations, or occupy a high role in whatever field they're in.

I want to begin a long term mentorship type is relationship, but I'm not exactly sure how to. I'm a college student, so generally early in my career. I have major aspirations that extend beyond just having a high paying job or business.

Many high earners and high impact people say things along the lines of "it's not what but who", so I want to take their advice and tap into the network around me, but I'm not exactly sure how to approach it, what questions to ask on the first meeting, how to gauge if they are interested in the mentor relationship/ see potential etc.

If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
