Post Body

So I finished my first term of university in the UK at a mid/low-high tier university, and I'm just wondering how much you guys knew about coding by then? We only had one module focused on coding in the first term, the rest was discreet math, computer architecture etc. It's going to be the same next term, we'll have data structures and algorithms and a few other modules with one focused on programming.

I get the basics of the language we've been learning, and can make some basic stuff that utilise the console, have been trying to self-teach making stuff with a GUI but haven't had much time to focus on that, but I'm not sure if I'm moving at a good pace?

I'm just trying to make up for the fact that I'm not at a TOP tier university in other aspects by making connections, taking up leadership positions, being involved in the student union and working towards getting internships but I'm still a little worried about my coding. I know the obvious answer is to make projects, but I haven't really found the time to yet :( I'm hoping to learn HTML, CSS & JS by myself this term though
