I recently interviewed for two different positions in the same company, and finished the loop for the first position and was on the last stage of the loop for the second position. I was discussing about the topics for interview for the last interview with the HM on mail. After 5 mins of the HM sending me the mail, I receive an application for background check, which I presumed was sent by the HM of the second position, as I believe I had zero chances of converting the first position. The next day I asked the HM(second position) for some clarification regarding the background check. After a few hours, I receive a mail from him saying they are cancelling my last interview as the HM for the first position is expecting me to release an offer for me. However, I haven't been contacted by the HM yet and I feel I should have made the teams know that I am interviewing for two teams simultaneously. Does this show lack of professionalism on my side? I'm also not sure if I'd actually get the offer or not. What do you guys think, am I doomed?
