A typical interview is 45 mins ( about 30 mins of coding and 10 mins of intro and debrief). Would it be beneficial to connect more w the interviewer spending more time of talking about them than the coding aspect?
My thinking is that it makes the interviewer like you. (Ofc make it genuine without making it seems annoying). Unexpectedly less time to code so they’ll either evaluate easier or give easier problem.
Just a curious theory since I don’t know the logistic from an interviewer POV.
What yall think?
