I know it's not a new concept, but I have been thinking about heat in my office lately as my current set up does not work as well as I have hoped. I currently have a 1500W electric space heater that poorly heats my space. It will take nearly 3 hours to get the room (165 sq/ft) up to a comfortable temp. It also needs to be on full blast pretty much all day to keep it up to temp. I've been mulling around the idea of buying a Antminer S15 and converting it into a theoretical heat source as it uses the same amount of power but also will offset the cost by mining Bitcoin. I would plan to hold the coin until the next bull run. The idea is that if I'm going to pay for heat, why not mine a coin in the process. Has anyone on here done this? If so, what is your set up? The idea is to purchase the fan upgrade seen in this video and place it in the other room and vent through the wall.
