Thinking of reactivating my Facebook account, but use public key encryption to encrypt all my posts as an experiment.
Post Body

Just as experiment I have been wondering how I could make encrypted posts on a social network. If I had a key pair and made all posts encrypted using the pubic key, then a "friend request" would be I send people the private key for the account. Sort of reverse public key encryption since I would be giving them the private key.

Obviously it would not be that secure, since all of my friends would have the private key, any of one of them could leak it. But it seems like a neat idea anyway.

I honestly don't care that much about privacy on facebook, it is a social network, you PURPOSEFULLY put stuff on it to be public. The point isn't really to have strong crypto, that is a silly idea for a social network which is designed to have pubic information about yourself. I just thought it would be an interesting idea, sort of reverse public key encryption.

Anything think of a bigger flaw than I already mentioned?
