2004 CRV- I want to permanently remove the rear drive shaft, do I need to cover the differentials with something afterwards?
Post Body

So my drive shaft is ready to give up the ghost soon and it needs to be removed to make the vehicle safe to drive. I've replaced it once and I'm just going to leave it off this time. Do I need to cover the holes in the differentials or can I just leave them be?

Edit: It is an automatic 4 wheel drive.
