Was in the middle of a road trip and at a stop light i heard a vibration sound of unknown origin. Kinda sounded like a loose item rattling in the door panel but I could tell it was coming from the engine bay. Pulled off the road and checked under the hood and could tell it was coming from the serpentine belt area. I figured it was the ac compressor but had to drive the remaining hour home before I could figure anything out. AC went out 5 minutes from home and rattling was gone. Inspected the compressor upon arrival and look what I discovered...
