Post Body

When both cars start leaking coolant within two weeks of each other because they have the same engine with the same part that fails around a specific mileage that they're both at. This part is known to fail around 60k and I should have known better and just changed it when they hit that but let's face it I'm lazy and I won't fix it until it breaks.

Cruze = 65k miles, Sonic = 70k miles

The Sonic has been dripping coolant very slowly, so I was hoping to fix it after Christmas. But this morning the Cruze started leaking a bit faster, enough that it was steaming a bit from under the hood. The good news is, I guess, that this part is pretty inexpensive and not too difficult to replace, and AC Delco parts purchased after 4/1/18 have a two year warranty instead of just one year.

And thank goodness for Amazon Prime shipping. Everybody else said they could maybe get me this part on Monday but more likely not until Wednesday because of the holiday. And my closest Chevy dealer isn't even open on weekends, which has always irritated me a little. It's Christmas and I have family things to do and I need at least one car to do that so maybe I need to get it fixed this weekend guys.
