Their plan was so perfect that we had no time to react. LC’s keikaku was just too stronk:

1. Tell the playerbase you have no plans for another collaboration for a long time.

2. Delay the most hyped update for 2 years all whilst adding more hype along the way to optimise your bait.

3. Add a preregistration to said update with amazing rewards to widen the net.

(Optional: release new heroes to drain some gems.)

Now, this is where they went in for the kill.

1. Finally release said update with ridiculous powercreep where the only realistic way to progress is to buy contracts with gems. Everyone’s gem reserves are devastated.

2. Obliterate Colo, the source of 99% of everyone’s gems so people can’t stick back up.

3. Release your collaboration and watch the money roll in.

We thought it was just standard money grabbing but LC was going for the elaborate long con.

They played us like a damn fiddle.
