Beware of catfishes and fakes in this sub
Post Body

I've posted a couple of times, and I know this isn't just happening to me.

People (So far just guys, but that's what we wanted) will initiate messages, even sending pics claiming that they are on the same cruise.

They're just trying to get pics/vids of you.

I'm tempted to call these douchebags out by name, but they know who they are.

One guy seemed legit, and even gave me his cabin number. I didn't check immediately, because what kind of dick gives out a fake cabin number? Well, this guy did. Claimed he was in Cabin 5410. Turns out Deck 5 has no cabins, but I didn't realize it until I looked to see how close he was to us.

Had others as well, sending pics, wanting some of us. I was skeptical after the first one, so I started asking for a screenshot of his Carnival Hub app showing that he was on the same ship. (It has a countdown timer so it's easy to tell if it's been manipulated.)

Every single person that I've asked for verification that they were on the same cruise suddenly, but not unexpectedly, ghosted.

So do yourself a favor - Before sending any pics/vids of yourselves, make them send you a screenshot of the app for that cruise. Nearly, if not all of the major cruise lines have an app. I can't say they all have the same info as Carnival Hub, but I bet they do.
