Why is there an RX+?
Post Body

Morning all!

Quick question to clarify for me. I started a new box today. Smaller but closer to home. They did a workout today for slam balls 30/20rx 20/10rx.

Is this new or normal. I've been at my other box for almost 6 months and a " " option has never been discussed. I thought the point of xfit was to do as many as possible rx while keeping the intensity level? That's why there are scaling options. I noticed some of the athletes doing " " were half of what my reps were.

Could someone please enlighten me with this and why? What's the point of more weight if you lose the intensity?

Thank you all who answer! Look forward to learning. Happy Monday and happy crossfitting!

Thank you everyone for your great comments. I am glad I understand the RX a bit more and may even dabble a bit in it. I wish you all a grand day and happy Holidays soon to come!
