I sort of feel we weren’t overshadowed by the elites. I enjoyed having our own Games
I came in sixth so I was not tested. The top five all tested negative.
The chipper was tough. 75 ball balls, 40 push press 30 box stepovers with 35lb db 40 single arm snatches at 34 and then another 75 wallballs
Sorry. Had an emergency. I should’ve deleted.
The crowd was into it. I think it was larger than the event planners had in mind because too many people didn’t have seats. Next year will be different
Thank you. I placed top 5 in 3 events. I was pleased.
It was 4 days of tough physical and emotional endurance.
I have to be honest that more people showed up than I expected. We talked to a lot of people who had nobody competing and they just came to see us compete. I was very surprised. I think they are people who genuinely care about the older athletes.
Sorry! An emergency came up. I should have deleted and started after the sos
I failed 135. I haven’t failed 135 in a long time. Legs were wasted. I placed 6th. We were all exhausted because it was our third event of the day and the first 2 were leg heavy.
Birmingham has been terrific. The city itself wasn’t really expecting us, but the restaurants were fantastic and the people were very kind.
We got here about four days early and talked to a lot of Birmingham residents who had no idea the Games were happening here. When the athlete started to arrive and go to restaurants and coffee shops, a little bit of a buzz started to happen. I think if they keep the games here, it will become more of a happening for Birmingham.
I’m having foot surgery on Tuesday so I will be laid out for 4 to 6 weeks. I’m looking forward to the first two weeks and I’m sure I’ll get antsy after that.
They only drug test the top 5 and I came in 6th. The only supplement I take is creatine and protein powder. I had no concerns.
I was in the 65 and nobody got close to that weight. We did the ladder as our third event Friday and we were all leg fatigued.
I like Dave. He’s his own person and sometimes it causes controversy. I would never think he purposely does anything to break the rules.
I really enjoyed the spirit of the event. People were so happy to be there, both athletes and attendees. I will get bigger I have no doubt.
I did have fun. It was really tough but I think that’s part of the fun.
I need to get even stronger: touch and go heavy deadlifts, heavier snatches. More time with anything lifting. I have a good motor, I need to be stronger.
The older guys are getting stronger. It’s kind of amazing
Hard work, discipline, and diet can be enough to get to the games. I’m proof of that.
I think there is some fine tuning they can do for next year, but overall, I think it was an extremely positive experience for everyone.
I don’t wear them so I don’t really have an opinion. Was he told he could only wear one set?
No swimming. Everything was in the arena. We did one run that looped outside, but everything else was inside one of the three event areas.
Cycle? Not sure what you’re asking asking
Was DJ one of the officials? If they introduced themselves right before we went to the floor I was in no state of mind to remember. All officials were terrific. They busted their asses all day long.
Good! I loved watching the other competitors so I’m with you.
I feel it was a big success and will grow as the fine tune some things.
I got a few sponsors, but not enough to cover the trip
I liked his vibe and he explained very well.
I think they deserve a lot of attention! They are inspirational for everyone!
I’m not sure if any video was taken of them. Here is one link that I found. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_dxAZ1SJFy/?igsh=MXJubmlybzhkamQzcA==
Yes, but they didn’t get the attention I think they deserved.
Yes, someone who came to the Games had a crisis. All ok now. Thank you for asking.
I really liked the events that they had for us. I was satisfied with what they had to do.

The games of Madison we more elaborate. More swag, better PT to name a couple things. But the energy in Birmingham was much better. Everyone came and came to see the Masters. It was loud and it was fun.
