Is kipping really necessary?
Post Body

I joined CrossFit last year and I love it! When it comes to pull-ups and chest-to-bar pull-ups, I don't really see the benefit of kipping. I've always done strict pull-ups before joining CrossFit, and it has worked fine for me. Kipping seems so hard on my hands, and I don't feel like I'm getting the same benefits as with strict movements.

I hate using grips—they seem too tight on my wrists and take away good pressure from them. So, I've decided to do minimal kipping and continue with strict movements whenever I can.

Is kipping really that necessary?
