Longtime MFP and LoseIt user looking at switching to Cronometer, have some question...
Post Body

I used Myfitnesspal for many years, but then switched to LoseIt when I had seem some posts about it. While I always liked LoseIt, there were a few things that always bothered me about it - namely the food database and lack of recipe importer.

I just paid for a month of Cronometer recently to give it a shot and now I've been using both apps side by side to compare. So far, I'm really liking Cronometer, but there's also a few things that seem a little easier in LoseIt. So, I wanted to post a few questions and see if anyone else made a similar change.

Does anyone know if there's any kind of limetime premium for Cronometer? Everywhere I look seems to suggest it's subscription only. I have lifetime of LoseIt, so it doesn't seem like a great idea to switch to something I'd be paying in potential perpetuity...

Did anyone else make the switch from LoseIt? What were some things you found lacking? Were there just some things that took some time to get used to?

One thing that I miss from LoseIt is the projected goal date at the end of logging each day once you had a streak. In my experience, that day was always pretty accurate, so I liked having that each day. I'm assuming there's something similar in Cronometer, but I haven't located it yet. Any suggestions where similar would be located?

Any advice or tips are really appreciated!

Some of the things I'm liking so far:

  • Food databases
  • Recipe importer
  • Automatic logging of certain foods
