Hey fellow crocheters! A beginner-intermediate here! I want to do a top, and the gauge says 10 cm= 18 stitches and 10.5 rows, and my sample made 27 stitches and 8 rows; so I think ok I’ll just make more stitches. But my main issue is that I was going for a size S, which has (as a first step) 9 rows, whereas size XS has 7 rows; and according to the cm, 9 rows in the design means 7 rows in mine, so I’m not sure if I should follow XS directions with a larger number of stitches or not.
Any advice would be helpful as it’s the first top I’ll make 😅 and also, yes, I used a different yarn as the one on the pattern I couldn’t find. Oh and should I keep the sample, or disassemble it and do the project with it?
Thank you for reading, have a nice day!
