I will start off by saying that I got this approved by the mods before making this post.
Some of you may remember me asking last week about what y'all would most want to see in a yarn review. I got a lot of helpful feedback, but there was still a little important thing lacking. I need to know what stitches to swatch for you!
So far, I plan to have a 4x4 swatch of simple double crochet (because I've noticed that this is probably the most common stitch on a whole) and a cable swatch with a 3 over 3 rope cable (crochet version of this) and a 2 over 2 braided cable (crochet version of this) and a 4x4 Tunisian swatch.
I also need a lace swatch though, and that's where the contest comes in! Since I don't really crochet, I don't know if there are lace pattern that show up again and again in patterns or if there is a basic "this gives you an idea how lace would look in this yarn" stitch.
If you have a stitch in mind that you think would be good for this purpose, post it here with a video tutorial on how to do the stitch. The tutorial being the most important part because, as I said, I don't really crochet and I don't know how to do much beyond the basic stitches. Feel free to upvote and comment on other people's submissions because the more info I have, the easier it will be to make a decision.
The Prize: I will send a $10 eGiftcard for either Michael's or Knitpicks to whoever posts the lace stitch I decide to use.
I'll leave this contest open until January 5th, while I work on other portions of my yarn review ideas.
