i’m attempting to make a rug with the long wave stitch after looking for hours for patterns for a rug and not finding any i liked. i’ve never had problems understanding patterns whether it be written or a diagram but i am struggling (specifically with the chain). my rows are uneven and i keep ending up in a spot at the end of the row where i’m unsure whether to place a stitch in a specific spot or not or i begin a row and have an extra stitch. the pattern in my book says ‘14 stitches 1, plus 1 for the foundation stitch’ and that’s really not making any sense in my brain. the swatch they’re doing is for a chain of 30. i’m trying to do something like 3 times that and i cannot figure how many to chain bc i’ve tried it two ways and neither seem to be working. i would post a pic of my work but i’ve already frogged it. i would also add a pic of the page in the book but i’m not sure if that’s allowed.
