What's a tip you've picked up on your crochet journey you wish you'd known at the beginning?
Post Body

Mine is if you're pretty sure you're following a pattern correctly but your work is just a bit wonky you might be using the wrong size of hook for your project.

I'm making my first attempt at mosaic crochet. I've preferred knitting in the past because I tend to prefer complicated projects. I'm pretty sure I've met my crochet match. 😍

Anyway, that's what made me think of this question. Because I started three or four times before finally getting it to work using fingering weight yarn. I realized the hook I was using was a size too small. I wasn't doing anything wrong in following the pattern but it wasn't working quite right.
