So, the cliffhanger of who will live and who will die has been resolved.  Unfortunately, Critical Role's most lovable walking corpse has become... a regular corpse.  The rigor mortis is setting in.

Everyone is wondering who Marisha's next character will be, or if they will find another way to revive her soon.

Personally, I want Laudna to come back soon.  I love her character and I want to see her arc completed.  She's Marisha's best character so far.

My personal theory (more of a hope) is that Laudna will come back via one of Matt's homebrews.  It's a homebrew I'm not sure many people are aware of: The Lingering Soul

Basically, it is a class Mercer invented that allows you to be... a ghost!  No corporeal body, holding onto the material plane do to unfinished business.  You can possess people, pass through objects, and do lots of ghost shenanigans.  There are subclasses that let you heal like a guardian angel or torment people like a vengeful spirit.

It would suit Laudna so well!  Just adding even more to her creepiness.  Perhaps she could possess her own corpse so she can still carry her stuff, then pop out of it to do ghost things.  It would replace all of her sorcerer and warlock levels, but I'm sure Delilah would still have an influence.

The more likely outcome will be that they'll find someone to revive her another way, like resurrection or reincarnate.  Of those two options, I'm hoping for reincarnate.  I just think that spell is the most fun way to bring someone back from the dead.  Her and Pate will have a fun dynamic if she comes back as a tabaxi lol

I just want Laudna to come back and I want to see someone play the lingering soul, and this is the perfect scenario for both of those things to happen.
