Hey guys, this is a very spoiler-ridden post about the nature of the Beacons in relation to Molly and to the City and everything. I apologize if there have been other discussions on this - but I'm just so curious what could be the case.

Here are some of my questions/thoughts on this:

• Is Molly's soul IN the city? Is it retrievable? Is it in Lucien also? Is it even in one place?
  • I think Matt might have a narrative temporary ressurection of Molly - I think it would be such a special moment for everyone, but I don't think he'll come back unless Tal really would want that. Would love to see the M9 get Molly out of Lucien and have Molly come back and overpower Lucian's influence.
• If the Beacons are necessarily from the Somnovem, does that mean the City is essentially just a GIANT beacon???
  • It seems like functionally they are the same in their effect - they keep souls and rearrange them in bodies on the material plane. Since the Astral Sea is kind of layered on the Material Plane - well that's interesting. They have to be related somehow - I bet the beacons are the experiements that LED the somnovem to be able to make the city how it is now.
• Is Molly's Beacon of origin the Somnovem? Is Molly ONE of the Somnovem? Or an aspect or fragment of it at least?
  • Molly/Lucien really could be 1000 years old - maybe there's something that says that can't be the case, but it's interesting to me that there's this connection.
• Will the destruction of the City mean that THOUSANDS of Aeorian souls will be born or even possess people on the Material plane?
  • This would be CRAZY - a mass possession of souls in the nearest heavily populated area - would this be Uthodurn maybe? I can imagine such a mess of an event happening if this was the case.
• Are the members of the Dynasty secretly or even unknowingly descendants of Aeor?
  • The Dynasty DEFINITELY keeps their secrets - maybe their history became religion and the science became divine magic over time as memories and stories changed. If they are indeed descendants of "fanatics," it would make a ton of sense. This is a really cool thought lolol

Wow Matt's creativity is crazy with this 4D chess of a plot with all these layers. What do you guys think though? I've been thinking about some of these ideas for a while now. Very interesting things!!!
