B&W Parasite
Post Body

Hey everybody! Just wondering if anyone else has watched the black and white version on the second disc yet. I just wrapped it and thought it was a fascinating comparison to the standard edition. While generally I don’t know if it added much I did find I was thinking a lot more about the lighting and some of the more subtle camera movements, and the driving sequences and the flood were even more visually striking. Personally, I find myself watching b&w versions of color films a lot, even if I have to do it myself with VLC (Fight Club, Out of Sight, Get Out and Scorsese’s Silence in particular I actually prefer on b&w now), but while I was into this version of Parasite I can’t honestly say how much it adds or even say I prefer it. What do you all think? Does it add something to your experience of the film?
