I've seen a few posts on here lately along with some people on the truefilm IRC channel sort of trashing Criterion for "low quality encodes" and "compression issues." I thought that to be rather preposterous, so I decided to look into it and came across this thread on their forums.

I've been collecting for about two years now, and these pictures are a bit disturbing to me. I hold Criterion in high regard, and when I pay as much as I do for the package I expect to be buying the highest quality product. So, what can be done? I thought this would be a discussion to have on here given that we all want the same thing. A poster in the thread has this to say:
What needs to happen for a change is a massive email campaign, series of Facebook posts, forum posts, etc. If it was possible with the Brown Blu-Rays, it can be possible with this.
What do you think? Is this necessary? Are the complaints, though clearly not unfounded, overblown?
