Criminal minds has been an important part of my life sind childhood actually. I started watching the show on tv with my parents when I got old enough to stay up that late. At 15 was the first time I got my own computer and could finally watch all episodes online. Since then I have rewatched every season maybe 5-6 times and I loved getting to watch it again, because I like the comfort of the familiarity with the characters.

Yesterday was the first time I researched a little about the actors, stuff like ‚who are their real life partners‘ and ‚what was the real reason for them leaving‘. Especially the last information really took away some of the magic for me, because following the storyline, most of it made sense to me, but knowing the „real“ reason the actors left kinda ruins it for me. Especially with Gideon and Hotch, because I would have never have thought that the actor of Gideon would regret this role so much and that the actor of hotch actually got violent. I never wanted to know things like this and I regret researching it so much! (Also it is very Strange, that they introduced Rossi with a scene where he was hunting, killing a bird and that they randomly killed Gideon 8 Seasons after he left the team...) I added the spoiler tag, because I didn’t want to know these things.

I tried to watch season 12 today but I can’t stop thinking about the real reason Hotch is gone and it makes me really sad. How did you feel when you found out these informations? Did they ruin the show for you?
