The second half is better.
Post Body

Is it just me or is the second half of HOSAB in the Crescent City Trilogy by SJM better? It feels seamless, as in everything is coming together. There aren’t any plot holes that I notice and I’m invested in the story now. I’m not finished, just started part 3 but it’s much more engaging and all of the mystery, context of the world building and even the introductions of new characters feels right. Like it makes sense. The first half to me is lackluster, jumps all over the place, it just doesn’t feel complete I guess whereas the second half does. I could be imagining it but something about the second half makes my imagination zing lol. Like I the first half was so bad to me that I took a break from reading it. Idk I was probably being dramatic but after the love proclamation, I was completely turned off. It felt rushed, it didn’t really make sense to me so early on. Like the second scene after Hunt blows up Ydra, made so much sense, felt right.
