What were his true intentions?
Post Body

*This is my first post so apologies in advance if this is the wrong thread, formatting, etc

I’m a 22 year old female. This happened about two years ago and just wanted to share. Never could figure out if I should’ve been creeped out or not!

I had just gotten back home from my college classes. I just needed to grab my phone charger as I had to be on my way to work pretty much immediately. Anyway, I parked My car on the side of the street by my house (driveway was full). Didn’t notice anyone around me, it was around 1pm on a weekday so it was relatively quiet around this time in my neighborhood. My dad was home and there were house workers there helping him (can’t remember what for). I walked in my house and closed the screen door however I left the wooden door wide open, so basically you could see right inside the house and it was unlocked. Stupid I know. But I figured it was fine since there were people home that needed to go in and out of the house easily. I grabbed my charger and when I approached the screen door handle, I noticed a man had pulled up on his bike to the front porch. I was basically face to face with him as I opened the door. He had black hair and was wearing a hoodie and jeans. I said hello and he greeted me back. He claimed he was offering house services such as yard work or painting. I told him I wasn’t interested and walked past him heading rapidly towards my car. He followed me and continued to offer his services and I continued to said no thank you. He said if I gave him my number he could text me so I can have his information in case I change my mind. At this point we were now inches from my car and I was getting nervous to even open my door (I thought he’d try to get in or do something idk). Luckily my across the street neighbor saw us and she asked if I was okay. I responded yes and she asked him what he wanted. As he told her about his services I got in my car and locked it as I turned it on. I turned to see if he was still there but he all but vanished. It was just weird because he followed me up to my front porch. I’m glad I was just coming out as he got there and I’m grateful people were home. Also didn’t appreciate that he kept following me to my car after I clearly said no. Random encounters like that also rarely, if ever occurred in my neighborhood. Was his true intention to offer housework? I’ve always wondered.
