A Drug Dealer by the Marina
Post Body

My friend and I were walking around downtown. I had to go to the bathroom, since my bladder is unusually small, so we stopped at the park by the river so I could pee. I use the restroom, step outside, see my friend and he goes in so I watch the door, making sure no one else goes in. A guy was shuffling through the brush, seemingly looking for something. My friend came out of the bathroom, then this guy comes over to us.

Guy: "Have either of you seen a wallet?"

We both shook our heads no, sending him on his way. I saw a plastic bag in the same area he was searching, possibly containing drugs but I just wanted to get away from him as fast as possible.

He then added, "Hey, if you ever need any drugs, you come to me! Haha!!" We nervously laughed and said "Okay." and went on our way, out of downtown and towards our house.

Unfortunately, maybe this guy didn't get the hint. He followed us for three blocks. We decided to swerve off our walking path and into a back alley--not our best idea... I was texting on my phone until I saw him getting close. I put my phone away and subtly observed him.

He followed us there, too.

Guy: "Hey."

We didn't stop, we kept walking.

G: "Hey!!"

He shouted now, coming towards us. We stopped and turned around.

G: "Do either of you have a phone? I need to call...my girlfriend."

I knew he was full of shit. He just wanted to make a drug deal, or steal my phone or something.

Me: "Sorry, I left my phone at home."

Friend: "You don't have your phone?"

M: "Nope. Sorry, man."

He finally went on his way and left us alone. As we were walking home, I turned to my friend and said "You know...I have my phone, right??"

F: "Yeah. I saw you using it right before he came up to us."

We were finally safe, but god damn were we paranoid on the way home.

I hope he never finds us again.
