Wassup y'all! I would love some advice on the writing process
I've always loved writing, and consider myself a talented writer. I'm very much a perfectionist and take pride in my work. However, despite now being a sophomore in college, I've realized I've never actually learned the proper process of creative writing.
I don't know how to describe it other than freewriting a story. It's all spontaneous, which tends to me never finishing a piece over, say, 8 or so pages. I've watched countless videos on how to plan, how to draft, how to execute, etc. I just find the planning much less *fun*.
How do I make the planning process enjoyable? Like, are there certain methods that aren't as intense and demanding (I have horrible focus which tends to cause ebbs and flows in efficiency)? I'd love to hear if y'all ever feel similarly, and how to combat this. Thanks!
