Darkness came before light. Light has meaning because of darkness. Life has meaning because of death. We have been “dead” a lot longer than we have been alive and our ancestors have experienced a state of death or non awareness longer than they experienced their state of life and awareness. Life is just a blimp in the grand scheme of things. We focus so much on the particulars like getting a job, raising a family, focusing on where to eat next and etc. We rarely focus on or tend to ignore the reality of death, the true frailty of existence and the absurdity of it all.
