I had a dream about you, we were lovers, fated and timeless. Together we walked through a forest filled with birdsong, on our way to a place that we had chosen. We found a clearing and prepared to settle into our space, when I looked up at you.

Your golden hair flowing in bold contrast to your fair skin and the open blue sky. Instantly the Earth fell away beneath my feet, I was held weightless in the air. Silence fell on my ears, quick and complete. All my other senses failed against the beauty of what my sight beheld, for they could not compete.

You turned to me, smiling, your eyes narrowing in a loving arc as you tilted your head. Still my sight overpowered my senses, until your lips moved, speaking my name, and sound returned to my world.

You reached out your hand and I wasted no motion meeting it with mine. A foundation the size of the world appeared beneath my feet and I felt us standing together as touch returned to me.

I pulled you in to embrace everything you are, and I could smell your perfume, igniting the synapses in my mind and dissolving the barriers between us as scent returned to my life.

I looked into your eyes and saw everything there ever was, everything there ever will be. I moved my hands, up from your waist to feel the warmth of your neck as I slid my hands into your hair, holding your head. Your elegant form against me, my fingertips electric against your skin, my mind thinking without words. We kissed deeply, forever, as taste returned to me and we fused together as one in full senses.

I could not tell where we each began, where we would each end. It didn’t matter, we would never need to know. You took a breath and it lifted my chest, filling my lungs. Your heart beat and I felt it move in me. Your blood flowed in your veins and I felt it warm my body.

Was the world this colorful before? I don’t remember it looking so lovely. I saw through your eyes, everything new to me. I turned and saw myself in us, and I knew I could do anything in this form.
