We all have different definitions and perspective about happiness. For others, it may be them seeing a dog walk by their house or go out and do what they love like skating or biking or meeting up with their friends. It may be listening to your favorite song or watching your favorite movie over and over again because it brings you that sense of familiarity and a tinge of happiness. Happiness for you could be succeeding in class, knowing you've been working hard to achieve these grades you ever so deserve. It could also be happiness that you find in other people, like your family makes you happy, you have a significant other who's there for you. Spending time with them. Feeling the love they have for you that's the purest type of love and knowing that they will always be there for you. But for me, happiness is all about self-love. It's all about finding that joy or sense of elation in yourself. Realizing that you can never depend your happiness on someone because you are you. You know how you should feel, you know how you should think and it all goes down to the idea that your happiness is in your own hands. Nothing else can me happier knowing I've been loving myself after being let down by the things happening around me. It may be a long process but once you reach that peak of love for yourself? It's all going to be better.
This has been the hardest essay I had to write because I could not get a single spot of self-love out of me. I did not have anyone I can share it with so might as well share it to you all instead. Thank you.
