You said that the next time I was going to book a ticket to go travelling that you’d join me. Is this true? 

I’m honestly getting so tired of you. All you do is talk. Talk, talk, talk. But for some odd reason I always find myself enjoying our conversations. In a way, I know that it’s all a lie, you only say what I want to hear. You’re actually quite good at that. I think that was how you made me fall in love with you in the beginning. Oh the memories that we shared….

But this isn’t about that. This letter isn’t about our history, and what we had. That’s a different letter.

This is about that one suggestion that you made when we talked last time. You said that you were willing to travel with me to visit the island of Bali. Remember how we were all excited? Or was it just me? 

We planned on booking a one way ticket. Because honestly who knows how long we’ll stay. We planned on staying in a beautiful mountain villa overlooking south Bali. No pools though (because they’re overrated you say). Although we would swim in rivers and springs. We would rent a scooter and ride around the coastlines of Bali. We would surf and drink coconut water out of the shells. We would take a day trip to visit the komodo islands. We would chase sunsets and run in the rice fields. We would fall in love all over again….

You suggested one thing, then I, then you. Your voice sounding all passionate. We were ready to go. Then there was a silence. “One day” you say as you let out a sigh. 

It’s been 4 months now. I’m writing this in Bali as I sit on the porch of my mountain airBnB and I just wanted to tell you that I’m thinking about you. I would really love for you to join me. I really miss you.

But knowing you, I was probably just that random “call your ex” type of deal. As much as I hate to say this, please call me again. Tell me that you want to travel the world with me. Tell me you want to make new memories with me. Destroy me in the most beautiful way possible...
