Well, jwilsterman and I have both had a productive start to our year of creative coding! I just wanted to check in with you guys to let you know how things are going and show some highlights from the past week.

If you think you'd like to join us, it's not too late. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome to post in this thread with his or her progress. Even if you're on the fence about it, I'd encourage you to give it a try.

Here is a work-in-progress index of my daily activity. (PureData)

The work I want to highlight from this week is my day seven project.

It combines everything I used from days 1-6 in one patch. I recorded a sort of improvised performance using the patch. It's sorta minimalist, but as a composition it could use quite a bit of refining. For one thing, the random bassline feels really unnatural. Markov chain beats plain random every time. I also find myself wishing I'd added some reverb, but I guess that will be a project for another day.

Now that I've got my index page working (primitive though it may be), I'll get my patches uploaded into github so if anyone wants to take a look they can.
