I've just started sewing again and had to buy a butt load of elastic, so I head down to my local Spotlight store. Awesome, they have a whole roll of what I need! But no prices on anything as usual. Took it to the register to get a price and nearly died when I was told it was $23 a metre. The lovely staff member said it's cheaper to get the precut packaged stuff which is was ($20 for 2-3 metres) but they didn't have what I wanted. I went to Lincraft and got 3 metres of what I needed for less than $20. Even the really cute coloured and printed elastic online is cheaper than Spotlight! Can get adorable printed stuff for $4 a metre. It's insane.
