Question: Good, Slightly Heat-Resistant Finish For Wood Coasters (Acrylics + Sharpies)
Post Body

Hai!

So I want to make some wooden coasters for my friend. I am going to paint them with normal acrylics (Reese) and then paint on them with some sharpies.

Now my question is: What kind of finish is best on top, that doesn't smudge my paints and will also add a tiny bit of heat resistance?
Not much, really, since it's mostly for tea or coffee mugs, but still enough so nothing blisters off.

I live in the UK, if that helps.
