I need friendship bracelet help for a gift for a teacher.

The engineering teacher at the school I go to is probably one of the coolest guys ever. I want to give him something special for christmas.
A lot of the cords we use look like this. So I thought that it would be cool to make a bracelet that looks like that. Years ago at girl scout camp, we made friendship bracelets that spiral like that, but I forgot how and I can't find how on the Internet.
If you can help me out, it would be really appreciate it! Thank you!
