Making fabric shiny?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have a dress made from ‘60s curtains, made with shiny cotton. I washed it really carefully but it still lost its shine and looks really dull - is there anything I can spray or coat it with to make it shiny/shimmery? Any help is greatly appreciated!
